WOOT!!!! 90% complete!!!

Lots of progress this weekend!

Finished the Painting touch ups

Took apart the Corsair H60 and modded it to fit the case And filled it with new fluid purged all bubbles and Ran for 10 hours to finish the purging process, sealed the loop and cranked it up

Solved the CD drive issue with a slim dvd r-rw and a neat adapter that fit the cd drive and a 3.5" accessory

added card reader under dvd drive
added fan controller for case and H60 fans

painted the adapter for the dvd drive

Managed the Cables and provided cables for my RMAed SSD's that should be back in a couple of weeks

Grabbed a 500 gb HDD i got on sale for like 50$ a couple of months ago installed it for extra storage but using it as a main drive until the SSD's get here

Hooked it all up and installed W7 so i can update firmware and other things, tomorrow ill mess with the OSx

Still Waiting for my custom items to come in so i can finish installing the case

+++++++++

Still need :
my SSD's
Custom case items
install OSx
Find a video card (deciding should i go with a budget 550 TI or just bust out and get a 660 TI) Any Onions?
Put the rest of the case on
Figure something about the zip drive, ether re-drimmel it to make it look nicer or order another cd drive bay flip close panel from ebay

and i think that's pretty much it

Cant wait to show you guys the finial product!!!!

And im glad lots of you are giving such positive feedback, this is really fun project

awesome, I especially like how you were able to repurpose the zip drive cover piece like you did.

you should be fine with either of those video cards. I'm running a 1 GB nvidia GTS 250 in my system, it works great for my purposes, fully working.

Some photos of my rear audio panel solution with some additional shots

Nice work billy :clap:
But from what I read here the Snow Leopard wont work on a 7 series board so I guess Lion or Mountain Lion for this build?

Yep Mountain Lion is the goal, i was going to try and install with this dvd then upgrade but that is a post for a diffrent forum lol.. once i get to NM tomorrow im going to focus on installing Mac Software. Send me a mail message if you have any ideas on that i appreciate any and all input!

Thanks and Glad you like the Concept, it was a fair amount of work lol

Wow! Really impressed with what you have done. Loads of work but looks brilliant.
Well done.

This turned out wonderfully! Great work!
How well did the the paint adhere to the zinc coated steel? What kind of paint did you end up using? Painting my g4 case was a pain in the ass because I was obsessed with getting a scratch resistant coat on the skeleton!

I did a lot of prep on the case i ended up taking apart every peice and sanding down with a very fine grit paper to break the smoothness.

Also to give the paint some structor to adhear to. After sanding i washed the case and other peices with soap and rinsed with water and let them bake in the hot texas 110 deg heat for about 15-20 min until the items were dry.

Once dry i set up a paint room in a shead, i coated each item with once coat followed the instructions on the can to reapply a second coat several min after the first coat had set. and repeated the process up to 4 times depending on the peice, peices that would be contacted more over time i put more coats.

After messing with the items and letting dry a full 24 hours i could see where i needed to do some touch ups, so i reapplied two coats for the touch up spots.

let dry another 24 hours

The Paint i used, i picked up at lowes it was Rust-o-lium High Gloss Enamel about 3-4$ a can but worth it because it had a primer mixed in and anti rust chemical additives
