i recently just finished installing Yosemite and everything is running perfect. i even got my iCloud to work (except iMessage and FaceTime)

The only issue is that my computer is reading my cpu at "1.2 ghz unknown"

i was wanting to overclock to 4.2 and i installed the overlock i7 sandy bridge ssdt in multibeast, but its still not reading.

can i not overclock? what do i need to do to fix it?

i am pretty new to the whole hackintosh thing, but any help would be appreciated!

thanks.

It will work at the normal speed. OS X Just isn't recognising it properly.

To cosmetically change that, read this thread.

i thiught that was the case but i went to play a game and i couldnt even play it on low graphics settings... which with the same computer i was running the same game on very high when i was using mountain lion before my yosemite upgrade... plus the HWmonitor is reading it at 1.19 ghz as well.

also, geek bench says it is at 1.2 and i just got a score of 500/800, and when using this same system on ML i got a score of around 18k. not overlocked. so something isn't running right.
