Finder very laggy and buggy

I have a few problems with finder since upgrading to maverick, Firstly when I delete a file the preview is messed up as this is not removed and the picture doesn't match the file i am currently highlighting.

Secondly when I press the space bar to preview a file, lets say picture. Most of the time It will show the preview as a black white box. I have to exit it and press the space bar again sometimes more than once for it to actually show me the picture that i would want to preview.

When you go to Apple > About This Mac > More Info what is listed as your Graphics?
