Once a week I import video from 2 Canon video cameras to my hack. I am running 10.7.3 with the latest fix for time machine installed. Lately I have been getting the "must shut down your computer" message while importing at least once, after reboot it works just fine.
I am using a Gigabyte mother board, Z68XP-UD3. I have the finicky USB 3 ports, but I use the cameras on USB 2.0. Assuming there is no "known issue" is there a log somewhere that might help diagnose what is going on? I have yet to lose any real progress due to the reboot so it is just an annoyance at this point, but I would like to have it up to snuff.
Thanks
