Hey,
I'm using a Hacktintosh with i5 3570k and R9 280X and Sierra, it works well. My problem: when starting Final Cut 10.3 the program crashes nearly immediately. FCP 10.2 don't have any problems.
Anyone here with same issues or an idea?

I'm having the same issue. I7 6700k. It crashes as soon as I try to import files. Any help is appreciated.

Maybe the radeon is the problem?

The crash report says the following:
Thread 0 crashed with X86 Thread State (64-bit):

Could anyone experiencing this problem please restate their problem history, current status, actions taken to resolve, etc. I experienced this on my 2015 iMac 27. It was 100% reproducible and happened upon launching the FCPX import dialog -- before even pointing at a file. I was on FCPX 10.3.1 and macOS 10.12.2. It just started happening and was not preceded by any notable event or update. Erasing the boot drive and rolling back several days or even a month using Time Machine or Carbon Copy did not prevent the problem, even though it wasn't happening back then. Troubleshooting actions taken (all unsuccessful):

- Reinstalling FCPX and macOS (in place)
- Trashing FCPX preferences
- Using a different login
- Disabling all startup items
- Manually removing macOS plist files and non-essential kernel extensions
- Running disk First Aid
- Resetting SMC/NVRAM
- Erasing boot drive and loading a month-old clone backup
- Booting macOS in safe mode
- Overnight hardware diagnostics at the Apple store -- no problems found

The only thing that solved it was erasing the boot drive and reinstalling macOS, FCPX and every app, utility and plugin. However I doubt that really fixed anything and believe there is some unresolved conflict that happens under specific, yet-to-be-determined conditions.

Try to check if it works with the single GPU, or at least same model (similar to Mac Pro). If you have mix, FCPX 10.3.x crashes when it loads non-empty library. I couldn't find a solution, other than remove/disable another GPU/iGPU, which was used to solve the AMD wake problem.

Does anyone have the latest version of FCPX 10.3.2 working on a Hackintosh under any graphics card? I'm putting together a system just for FCPX. I'd give longer render times for smooth editing and being able to keep 10.3.2 as its what I'm using on my MacBook Pro
