Final Cut Pro HDMI monitor won't work

I am successfully running 3 monitors on my system. Z97X-UD5H, 4790K, GeForce GTX970. MacPro 3,1

display port x 2, hdmi x 1.

All monitors work fine, except in FCP X. When I try to send timeline to HDMI monitor to view full screen, I can't because the A/V Output setting in FCP is grayed out. Do I have to change my System definition from Mac 3,1 to get the A/V Output feature to work?
