Hi all,
I just build my very first Hackintosh, and while the experience was trying, I am glad I took on the endeavour.
The problem I am having is with Final Cut Pro X and sometimes Motion 5. I am operating the most recent version of both.
When I am operating Final Cut Pro X whenever I attempt to add any transitions or try to work on another project while one is being shared, it crashes. It doesn't give me the pinwheel, but instead it just shuts down.
Now, if I am operating Final Cut and try to open Motion 5, Motion will crash, and vice versa. When I have Motion open and try to open FCP, FCP will crash.
This leads me to believe that the problem is with the graphics card.
I have run tests on my OpenCL to see if that was the issue. but LuxMark did not detect any errors and it determined that OpenCL was operating at the most recent version on not only my EVGA card, but also on my HD4000.
Is this just a case of the my 1 GB card not being enough to handle these programs and operations? Or is there something more at play here that I just don't understand.
This is the first computer I have ever built, and I am not 100% sure on all the processes required to troubleshoot something like this.
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
