Final cut pro 4k editing build. Would an i5 8400 + rx 580 be adequate?

I need a machine for some 4k video editing in FCP and general everyday tasks (occasional ableton live use, photoshop etc), but no gaming or anything. I am worried I may be skimping on my CPU as I can't find much info on this cpu + gpu combo for video editing. I can afford an 8700k, but I feel like it may be overkill for my use and don't really want to spend over $150 more if I don't have to. Would the difference be great for an 8700k vs 8400 in FCPX?

Any advice would be great, thank you.

Many people use a 4 core laptop CPU in a MBP and a lesser AMD graphics card for FCP X and it works fine.
FCP X is fully optimized to run on macOS so it should be no problem. If you are a Pro video editor then it
may be worth it to spend more on the 8700K CPU. Time is money as they say.
