As of running 10.9.2 I have everything Working: ALC898 audio working, Video(dual monitors), Sleep/wake, all USB 2 ports/headers, USB 3 ports, Sata ports, Intel Ethernet, Power Management, Bluetooth dongle.I've also added a smbios and org.chameleon.boot.plist and an edited ssdt for hdmi audio for nvidia cards.

Updated to 10.9.3 without any troubles, just the usual reload of ALC898 for audio layout id=1, trim enabler, updated nvidia web drivers, and a modified AICPM.kext.

Updated to 10.9.4 without any troubles, just the usual reload of ALC898 for audio layout id=1, trim enabler, updated nvidia web drivers, and a modified AICPM.kext. Just waiting on Updated Cuda support.

Updated to 10.9.5 a while ago without any problems and have since switched over to using Clover in UEFI mode. No problems have arose since the switch. Will update when I have time.

Updated to 10.10.4 after finally feeling they worked enough of the bugs out to be a viable upgrade. Everything is working after reinstalling Audio, AICPM.kext edited and taking out the San Fran font as it caused weird characters on the password prompt screens.

Updated to 10.10.5 and everything is working as it did in 10.10.4 using MacPro 6,1 system def. Just installed my new PCIE wifi/bluetooth card with an airport extreme module. Hand off is working from phone to computer and back to the phone again. My wireless keyboard is now working in the bios on the computer and in clover boot selection. Haven't tried using the boot camp drivers to use it on windows yet.
Also if you are going to use the MacPro 6,1 system def. you need to boot with nv_disable=1 and use Shilohs AGDPfix.app to get around the black screen at the log in.After you use the fix just reboot with the normal boot flags.

Installation Steps

Photos | BIOS Settings
1)Setting up your Bios: I have Bios v. 4802

86273-bios-4802.jpg

set overclock to XMP and set XMP to profile #2
86274-bios-4802-1.jpg

Set intel V-td to disabled
86275-bios-4802-2.jpg

Set Legacy usb support to enabled. Legacy usb 3.0 support to enabled. EHCI Hand-off to Enabled

2) Prepare USB stick using UniBeast 3.0.1 and OS X Mavericks 10.9.4 (updated via app store). PLEASE name your USB stick "USB". If you are unfamiliar with UniBeast, follow the steps in "STEP 2: Create a Bootable USB Drive Using UniBeast" here:

tonymacx86 Blog: UniBeast: Install OS X Mavericks on Any Supported Intel-based PC

(Put your Multibeast.app and the supplied smbios, boot.plist, filenvram, AICPM.kext, SSDT(audio) on the USB stick as well)

3) Connect your USB thumb drive to the USB port above the white one on the motherboard. Ensure the hard drive you will install is connected to one of the 6 SATA ports on the Intel bus (NOT the two far left red ASMedia ports).

4) Boot your computer and Press F8 on the bios post screen to get the boot menu. Select your USB FlashDrive and hit Return(enter). On the chameleon boot loader Select the USB installer and enter in these boot flags and boot the installer.
PHP:
-v npci=0x2000 cpus=1

5)In the installer select your language and then go to disk utility in the menu bar. Partition and format your HDD/SSD as GUID Mac OS Extended Journaled. After the partition is made quit disk utility and continue to the install screen. Choose your HDD/SSD that you just formatted and install. The install takes anywhere from 10-20minutes to complete.

6)After your computer reboots Hit F8 again and select the usb installer. Once you reach the Selection screen in Chameleon choose the drive you installed OSX on and enter the boot flags once again
PHP:
-v npci=0x2000 cpus=1

7)Set up your username and profile. Once on the desktop Open up your usb stick and find where you put the Multibeast.app and open it up and use these settings.
MultiBeast Configuration for Mavericks 10.9.2
86292-mb-6-2.png

Put the filenvram into your folder named /extra/modules and put org.chameleon.boot.plist, smbios, ssdt into the /extra folder.
Use Kextwizard.app to install the AICPM.kext from shilohh's x79 guide link in power management section into the S/L/E folder.(system/library/extension)

View attachment R4G.zip contains smbios, org.chameleon.boot.plist, and ssdt for audio, AICPM.kext, FileNVRam.dylib and SSDT Generator by PikeRAlpha for Powermanagement.
View attachment DSDT.aml is made for my specific system by a friend of mine. It fixed my usb 2.0 internal connectors.

PowerManagement

Shilohh has made a guide for x79 users http://www.tonymacx86.com/general-help/127574-guide-asus-x79-os-x-controlled-speedstep.html
To get power management working you want to generate an SSDT for your computer by running PikerAlpha's generator. ssdtPRGen.sh

Open up Terminal and drag ssdtPRGen.sh on to the window and copy the following into terminal
PHP:
-turbo 3800 -t 130 -c 1 -w 3
Explanation:
“3800″ = your max Turbo multiplier or OC
“130″ = your CPUs MaxTDP in watts
-c 1 = CPU type
-x 1 = xCPM mode enabled
-w 3 = Injects extra Pstates and may solve the issue where you lock at 12x

It Should look like this.

PHP:
Last login: Mon Mar 10 15:12:34 on console
Shaggy:~ shaggy$ /Volumes/Storage/ssdtPRGen.sh -turbo 3800 -t 130 -c 1 -w 3
Hit return and enter your password
Answer the questions

Then exit out of terminal and rename the ssdt.aml file on your desktop to ssdt-1.aml and place it into your /extra folder.
restart your computer and you should have working power management. Thank you Shilohh for help on this.

Thanks so much for the guide I will be trying it out this weekend on almost the same exact components. In multibeast what option did you choose dsdt free? I will post my results.

Thanks for the response, what I mean is in the quick start portion of multibeast did you choose "EasyBeast, UserDSDT, or DSDTFree"? Or did you just choose the drivers that you listed above?

I didn't choose any of that. i had files already for the boot options and such that you find under quick start. no reason to use it if you know what choices to make in the other parts of MB. i installed chameleon separately i didn't use chimera.

Got it thanks so much for the clarification

Good day Farcry84, I am currently installing Mavericks and so far so good. I am stuck on step 2. where you listed

"tonymacx86 Blog: UniBeast: Install OS X Mavericks on Any Supported Intel-based PC
(Put your Multibeast.app and the supplied smbios, boot.plist, filenvram, AICPM.kext, SSDT(audio) on the USB stick as well)"

I am unable to find the filenvram and AICPM.kext. It is not included in the R4G zip. I read the thread "UniBeast: Install OS X Mavericks on Any Supported Intel-Based PC" and I could not locate either one of these files. I have however put the other 3 files in to my Extra folder.

Can you please tell me where I can locate the filevram and AICPM.kext. I did a search on a kext site and I could only find the AICPM.kext for Atom CPUs.

Thank you for your help and hard work!
