FakeSMC plugins causing problems (Z68XP-UD3P users please read)

On my GA-Z68XP-UD3P/ GTX670 rig, installing any FakeSMC plugin on mountain lion causes Multibeast to become unresponsive. I end up having to hold the power button down to turn the computer off, and upon reboot, I kernel panic.

Can those also with this Z68XP board but *without* a 670 verify that it is, indeed, the board that is confusing the FakeSMC plugins and not the GPU?

I have the same board with a 560ti. I was getting intelcpumonitor.kext crashes on boot. I think I managed to get booted once and it indeed crashed when I ran multibeast. I deleted intelcpumonitor.kext and it solved my KP issues, but multibeast now fails to install packages but doesn't crash the system

What you said there made me realize something, the Multibeast install gave me a "failed" message when I did a non-clean install of ML from Lion, and I know for a fact that I had at least one of the FakeSMC plugin kexts in there...

Did you guys see this under Lion at all?
