I'm on 10.15.3 preparing to upgrade to 10.15.4
I updated Clover Configurator to 5.9.4.0, mounted my efi, updated my kexts, then moved to "Install/Update Clover"
I selected the default "package" installation (I don't know what "cloverx64.efi" is...)
I selected the standard installation on my main disk (didn't change install location)
I received the error "This package is incompatible with this version of MacOS"
After some googling, I decided to "install anyway"
I restarted and pressed F11 (I guess to "clear the NVRAM" but didn't receive any feedback, so I don't know if that worked.)
I opened Clover Configurator again and checked my clover version
It still says "5102" NOT "5108"
Please tell me what I'm doing wrong.

Any success? I'm about to upgrade as well and got the same message and affraid to force it since I'm also using FileVault on my drive..

Tried again with 5111. FAIL.

use another way to mount your efi and with r/w:
-check taht the EFI is the good disk plz
-check by create a new folder for instance, and delete it on EFI.
-try with r5112

I'm having the same exact problem, with r5112 too..
I checked and EFI is r/w

  • What other way of mounting the EFI do you suggest? I'm using Clover Configurator to mount the EFI on my SSD. The SSD contains my OS, apps, and system software.
  • I am able to add and delete folders on the EFI partition.
  • "The installation failed!" for r5112

same issue . with version r5111 ,r5112 , r5113

My build is CaseySJ's Golden Build. My problem stemmed from FwRuntimeServices and OcQuirks
This guide by CaseySJ has updated software. I made a backup of my EFI folder, then installed it.
After that, I was able to update the bootloader to 5117 with Clover Configurator!
After a restart, now CC shows my bootloader on 5117.

For more, see this thread.
