I used the command to do the same with a version of Yosemite and the command createmedia works to put it on the USB
I'm thinking, maybe the problem is about running Unibeast on Yosemite. I'm considering upgrading my old PC to high sierra first, and then try to run Unibeast from that environment. Once I have the USB stick ready with Catalina, I'll update the hardware and try to install Catalina straight..I used the command to do the same with a version of Yosemite and the command createmedia works to put it on the USB
so you are saying that it's enough for the .app to be in the drive, for Clover to boot it?Yes drag the install app then you need to download a version of clover and run the clover installer app and select the USB for the target. Go to downloads section for the Clover builds and choose a UEFI version.
This is the createinstallmedia method which is what Unibeast is doing or attempting to do. The gibMacOS method if you follow it has instructions to make the DMG bootable. That is what I was speculating may have happened?
