I've got an external blu ray drive using USB3 which worked in High Sierra but does not show up on any USB3 port in Mojave. The drive is functional and shows up on my late 2012 MacBook Pro. Everything else works on those ports. Anyone else have this problem or heard of it and have a solution? It's the damnedest thing...

I suspect that your problem is probably related to USB port limits.

I would look here.

Thanks...I'll check that out and let you know if it works.

I actually fixed this by using the MultiBeast options (Remove XHCI USB Port Limit) & (USBInjectAll). I'd never had any cause to use them before; strange it would work in High Sierra but not Mojave. Thanks again for your help!

Glad to help.

Just remember that when using the port limit patch you will have to change this each time you update Mac OS. It should also be noted that it may also introduce some instability into your system by causing corruption of USB driver state. It should really be thought of as a temporary fix, but your milage may vary.
