Thanks for the reply, and yes that is correct my card has acctualy 5 mini display ports and nothing else, no HDMI and no DVI.

I have a DSDT fix for the inccorect drives if you want it just PM me...

Holy smokes, where did you get that? Interesting configuration. I wish I could help, but I don't even have a monitor with display port
Yeap, I am interesting on your DSDT mod for the drives. I'll send you a PM.

Re: ATI 5770 GraphicsEnabler=Yes: Guide!!

OK, then just to be clear, the retail Mac OS X Snow Leopard disk is officially an update disk for people that already own a license for Mac OS X Leopard. I you don't own Mac OS X Leopard, then you need to buy the Box Set of Mac OS X, not the update disk.

Yes, I'm just being pedantic, but I feel better now :)[/quote]

So you are saying that I need to buy the following:

http://store.apple.com/uk/product/MC680 ... TM3NDgwOTU

Not this:

http://store.apple.com/uk/product/MC573 ... TM3NDgwNjU

Thx

The $29 upgrade works fine. There should also be a full SL (not upgrade) disc for sale; you shouldn't have to get the box set if you dont intend to use iLife nor iWork.

ok cool i will look for the full version on the apple site

Thx :headbang:

EDIT: on the link for snow leopard to the apple store, it says it is the following :

Snow Leopard is an upgrade for Leopard users

Does it still contain a full version of snow leopard?

Thanks,

bump please :)

If you buy the Upgrade Disc US$29 (in the good'll USA), you can use it to install the full blown OS without having any prior OSs. Apply may call it an upgrade disc, but for hackintosh purposes it does the trick.

Cool thanks, I guess the disk is the same in the UK as it is in the US.

The "upgrade" disk is the full blown OS. It will install everything minus iLife, but there are no essential packages or installers in iLife. Are you able to boot in verboos mode? I know that there is a command prompt that will allow you to pause the boot process to take a picture, hopefully letting you see why the card isn't initializing properly. Also, what is the configuration of the output ports on your card? I have 1xDVI 1xVGA and 1xHDMI out on my Asus EAH 5770 1GB GDDR5 Radeon HD.

I tried iBoot GE. When I insert SL retail DVD, the screen goes black and disconnects. I tried with -v -x option. Didn't see any errrors. The below is my configuration. Any help appreciated:

Core i7 860
DDR3 2000 8 GB (I also tried with 4 GB)
P55A-UD4 - Motherboard
XFX ATi Radeon HD 5770 single slot
