I have a dual boot system and I would like to have a drive that both MAC and Windows can read/write to. exFat is what I formated it to. But when I restart the computer the drive no longer shows up in mac or windows but it shows up on the boot page where you pick your OS you wan to boot.

If I restart it right after I format then it's there but once I put my iTunes libaray on the drive and reboot it doesn't show up.

From what I've just read on Google the drive should be formatted in Windows to exFat with a cluster size of no bigger than 1024. Anything larger and OSX won't see it.

I wouldn't know until you've tried....... :)

Seriously though , Google will know.

Formatted in Windows or OSX?

Format my internal 1TB on the Mac side. and it shows up fine even after a reboot. It's once I put my full iTunes on there. So maybe there is something weird with itunes. But that doesnt seem right cuz it doesnt even show in the windows side. I'll keep messing around and if I find anything I'll post here.

Try formatting the drive in Windows with a cluster size of 1024....or smaller.
