EVGA couldn't offer warranties this long and stay in business if these failed frequently. So you know these are well built. If it lasts for 10 years and fails at 10 years and a day, your cost is still only $5.50 per year. You really can't lose with one of these.

There are many cheap 30 to 40 dollar range PSUs being sold that are poorly made, that have very short warranties. They can't supply the wattage stated on the label. The soldering and wiring are low quality, not good features for a PSU that may be running 24/7 and supplying power to your expensive CPU and GPU.

Spend a little more and you won't have to worry about frying your motherboard or other components.

550W is powerful enough for an RX6600 (XT) graphics card. Get more wattage (750+) for more power hungry AMD cards like the RX 6800 line.
  • 80 plus Gold certified, with 90% efficiency or higher under typical loads
  • Fully modular to reduce clutter and improve airflow
  • 100% Japanese capacitors, LLC resonant circuit design +DC-DC converter to improve 3.3V / 5V stability
  • Double ball Bearing fan and EVGA eco mode for exceptional reliability and quiet operation

There is also a 650W version of this (SuperNova) on sale as well.

EVGA has nine of the top twelve best selling PSUs on Amazon. Low price, high quality and excellent customer support = lots of sales. Corsair has three in the top twelve models. They are good high quality PSUs too, but more expensive.

Even the EVGA 850W models sell for under $95 USD. Buy one for your RX6800/6900 to give it enough power.

Looks an excellent deal in the US.

Over here that EVGA SuperNOVA 550 Ga is currently retailing at £94.87 on Amazon UK.

Sadly even though shipping to the UK may be possible, the weight of a PSU would make that too costly.

Snap 'em up while you can over there!

Even replacing an inefficient older PSU makes sense. You'll save a lot of $$ on electricity over the ten years that one of these new EVGAs should last.
