Hi there - I hope you guys can help me and my son out.

We've built an i7-7700k Siera Hachintosh, with:

- GIGABYTE Z270X Motherboard
- EVGA GTX 1060 3GB / (AMD Sapphire HD5770 was installed to start with and working fine.)
- Audio is working / Ethernet and USB 3 working. Airplay not working.

So we downloaded and installed the NVIDIA web drivers for the 1060 on Siera and when the machine boots the menu bar item shows that it is loaded and active... but the LG 1080p monitor connected to the HDMI port is only displaying 1280 x 1040 and there is no resolution options available. When we had the old HD5770 with the AMD injection that was working fine.

So the display is distorted / stretched at 1280x1040

About this mac is reporting the card as a NVIDA Chip Model 5mb

If anyone can help us get this card running that would be great as my son spent weeks busking to save for it and is feeling a little deflated by it not working :)

So first, here you can see a video of the startup graphic glitches and screen resolution:

I'm going to attach my EFI config.plist to this post and some screen grabs to support the info above.

Forgot to mention that we are just north of Auckland in NZ if there's any other local folks in the community that could help out that would be great. Thanks again

Your config.plist is a joke.

All of those ACPI / DSDT fixes are unnecessary - Not required.
nv_disable=1 disables the Nvidia drivers - There is no prospect of them working if you disable them.
No need for a Fake ID for IntelGFX (0x19168086) - Why have you done that ?
You have Nvidia graphics but you are injecting Intel - Why would you do that ?
ig-platform-id 0x19120000 is for Intel graphics - Wrong again.
Multiple instances of the same patch in Kexts To Patch - Wrong.
Inject Kexts should be Detect not Yes.

BIOS - Disable Integrated graphics - Set PEG as Primary
Use a digital connection - DVI or HDMI - VGA is not supported.
Boot with nv_disable=1
May need to update Clover
Install web drivers
Update web drivers to ensure that you have the correct version.
Config.plist - Do not inject Intel or Nvidia graphics and no ig-platform-id
Config.plist - Disable SIP completely - CsrActiveConfig 0x67
Edit config.plist - NvidiaWeb = true as per Link
Will need to emulate native NVRAM - Problem 6 - Install EmuVariableUefi-64 and RC scripts.
Remove nv_disable=1 from config.plist
May need to install Lilu.kext , LiluFriend and NvidiaGraphicsFixup.kext

Potential Problems :
HDMI 2.0 is not supported - Use HDMI 1.4 (or lower)
If your graphics card has more than one output of the type that you are using then try another one.
Black Screen with MacPro 6,1 or iMac 15 or iMac 17 System Definition

Hey Pilgrim - thanks so much for that. As you can tell, we're all new to this.

What would be your suggestion for the order to sort things out? - Is there a config.plist that I can replace ours with to get things working or will we need to work through some steps to correct the current one?

The Rules said:
Profiles need to contain at least your primary system to assist others with helping you

Try with the config.plist attached to this post and report progress.
Note that you MUST do the following :

BIOS - Disable Integrated graphics - Set PEG as Primary
Use a digital connection - DVI or HDMI - VGA is not supported.
Update web drivers to ensure that you have the correct version.
Will need to emulate native NVRAM - Problem 6 - Install EmuVariableUefi-64 and RC scripts.
