Hello everyone,
I'm having problems with my EVGA GT 740 SC.
I replaced my old Radeon 9800 with the GT740. Now, the system boots into OS X 10.6.8, but the GT740 is not properly recognized and I can only run one Display at 1024x768. The System Profiler lists it as "Unknown".
When I boot in Verbose Mode, I get a message telling me that FakeSMC doesn't support my card.
Everything else (Audio, Ethernet, etc.) runs fine.
Is there a way to get this thing running properly?
"GraphicsEnabler=No" did not fix the problem.
Updating is only possible until OS X 10.7 because I need to run Logic Pro with some old 32-bit plugins.
Thx in advance!
System Specs:
CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 @ 4x2.83GHz
Mainboard: Gigabyte EP45-DS4 (F/W: F10b)
RAM: 8GB DDR2 (OCZ)
Graphics: EVGA GeForce GT740 SC with 4GB GDDR5
