Right, here it is...

I have Intel HD Graphics 4600 and a EVGA GeForce 210 card PCI on the system. I use two monitors as separate displays. With Intel HD Graphics 4600 I have a weird problem with a limited number of web sites, which cause a complete system freeze. Hence, until and including High Sierra I used the EVGA GeForce 210 card and Nvidia setup and got a perfect result: both monitors working properly, as separate displays, each at its maximum resolution (1680x1050 the first one and 1280x1024 the second one), no system freezes.

In Mojave, I can get these same perfect results with Intel HD Graphics 4600, but I still have the system freeze problem. So, I tried out the EVGA GeForce 210 card - Nvidia setup (which System Information says DOES support Metal), but:

I can only get the one monitor working and only at 1024x768 whereas that monitor supports up to 1680x1050; the second monitor does not respond. During some earlier attempts I managed to get both monitors working but both only at 1024x768 and only on mirror. Needless to say that I have by now tried all sorts of combinations with Nvidia settings.

So, the question is: Is it perhaps the case that my EVGA GeForce 210 card - Nvidia setup will NOT fully work on Mojave (despite its Metal support) and I should give up trying? Any suggestions?

Update:
I realised that what causes the system freeze is some javascript on some sites when visited with Safari; doesn't happen with Chrome or Firefox. When I deactivate javascript on Safari, there is no problem at all.
