Hi,

I`m running OSX Lion 10.7.1 on this system:

Core 2 Duo - E4400
Asus P5LD2-SE
4gb Ram- - 667mhz
nVidia GT 240 -512mb GDDR5

The only thing I need in order to put my system to work the way it it was:

1) bootflag npci=0x2000
2) remove the bootflag arch=i386 (in order to boot in 64bits mode)
3) VoodooHDA (sound) and internet realtek kext on MultiBeast
4) GraphicsEnabler=yes by default

It is working VERY good. No Karnel Panic ar all on any time. Way more stable than it was on Snow Leopard.

But my banchmarks results are very low.

For example, I`m getting on NovaBech (Free on Apple Store) just 86 point. The half of the others GT 240. My Core 2 Duo is having pentium 4 Score as well.

See here: https://novabench.com/compare.php?id=60 ... 2579156462

Anyone know how to fix this? I plan to use this PC for photo editing, even boght an Full HD monitor. Every bit of performance is welcome! :D

Thanks guys, this forum is trully amazing. Keep the good work! Hackintosh is a reallity to anynone who desires.

NovaBach website say thats my C2D CPU is ony 1Ghz. But About This Mac gives me 1.81Ghz(wich is correct).

download cinebench and see what your cpu scores in that

Sorry for the delay!

I think it`s a very low score... I think!

Try with other smbios.plist (another machine, mac pro 3-4 - imac 9-10 and ect.).

your cpu seems about right in cinebench.
the clock speed of it is pretty low as standard.
a 3ghz e8400 scores about 1.8, so about 1.5x faster, and has a better architecture

i wouldnt worry too much about synthetic benchmarks anyway.
how does the system feel? how does it cope with rendering, or gaming etc?

if you want to improve your performance, look into overclocking your cpu.
should be able to get that cpu to at least 3ghz with a half decent cooler

I'm having a similar problem as berchielli. I have a Core2Duo P7550 with Lion 10.7.1 installed, but have to use cpus=1 to boot. I used a few benchmarking software (geekbench) and they all report that my processor's performance is about half of what it should be (in geekbench it was about 2400). Is there anyway to unlock the other processor core?

-Thanks in advance

Thanks for your tip!

Just overclocked it to 3.1ghz with vcore stock. My cooler is pretty good, a enormous coolermaster with heatpipe.

I'm getting 1.66 points on the cinebanch.

My computer is MUCH faster now. Even Mission Control performs better.

Thanks.
