This solution didn't work at first for me, but it worked second time with delayed_ack=1. Thanks a lot man. You are the KING! :headbang:

Thanks!

Hello Lnx2Mac

can you please help me with mine
GA-Z68MX-UD2H-B3
LAN problems?

I'm Using the
the Realtek Gigabit Ethernet 2.0.6 from latest multibeast

the Card is recognized, I got an Ip with DHCP
but the LAN is Unusable SLOOOWW like 1Kb/s

tried changing the DELAY HACK with Terminal but no luck! :(

any hints please?

thank you very much!

gino8080,
How are you measuring this ?

First of all, check http://bit.ly/DeadNIC it might help...

Then, don't use speedtest... start by testing on LAN...

Also, if using a different OS on this machine, does the network work better ?

Sadly trying also on Linux seems that my LAN is ****ed! :(
somwtimes i got the IP but speeds are always impossiible

damn the Mobo Is New!!

maybe is better that i Stuck with the little usb wifi adapter
because If i should RMA or change the mobo I think it will be a looong story :(

what do you suggest?

Have you checked http://bit.ly/DeadNIC ?
Specially, check your cables, connectors, verify there's no lint in the port.

Thanks for responding in my other thread lnx2Mac!

My server is Windows 2000 AS, so I had to google a netserver that will run on it.
Run netperf on the Mac .

Is this the real-world limit? The Max output I can get is 645 Mbit/s
using online conversion of 645 Mbps -->
= 80.63 MB/s
= 645.00 Mbps
= 76.89 MiB/s
= 290.25 GB/h
= 4.84 GB/min

Thanks to Belmore, this time I used the "time cp" command and copied the Mac 10.6.7 OSXCombo update to my Windows file server.

net.inet.tcp.delayed_ack=2
time = 22.009 seconds to copy the 1.06GB OSX combo file

But doing simple math, that equates to only 48 MB/s. ... instead of the 80MB/s number I got above. Where did the rest go? Overhead? or slow hard disk speed (RAID 1).

I did try other ack values.... but my average output stayed roughly the same.
