I never tried that OS, but I personnaly dont like the looks.

I was not keen on the look of Yosemite at first either. It has grown on me - I have been seeing a lot of similar looking artwork over the summer and must admit that I now quite like it. I understand that this is not universal. There is a way that you can change the icons if that might help. trs96 (one of the mods here) did a short video on this in May 2013:
