So I've got a successful setup now, using a Gigabyte GA-H77N-WIFI. It works fine. However, aside from OSX I still use a few Windows programs, so I use Parallels Desktop to use them. In order to get my Hackintosh working, I had to disable Intel Virtualization Technology (Vt-x) in the BIOS.

Is there any way to enable this again? When I tried to enable it, my system just wouldn't boot properly, after the gray Apple logo I'd just get a cursor on a gray backdrop, nothing else (and the cursor was frozen).

If there are any general solutions for this I'd love to hear them :)

I don't know why you have to disable it but with my two hacks I can enable it. Also I need it for my VMware do boot 64 bit Windows 2008 R2 and Windows 8.1 64 bit

h77n-wifi ok with vt-d
z77xud5h ok with vt-d
