Hi everyone, I made a clean catalina installation for ASUS k571GT Laptop.
After that just used two DSDT patch for battery and audio that was successful.

when I plug in HDMI cable laptop screen turn black for 1 second and when I unplug cable its turn black again for 1 second. is it mean that OS can communicate with the port ? can I consider it as HDMI port tied to IGPU and not Nvidia ?

once I followed this guide : WhateverGreen Intel® HD Graphics FAQ but no success.
I attached some info from Hackintool and my EFI Folder, maybe you can lead me to correct way ...

you may need to test in windows to see if the hdmi port is connected to the nvidia

I installed windows aside Catalina and I have both now, how can I figure it out in windows 10 ? didn't find a guide for it

Hi,
you could try a usb-c to hdmi cable.
Probably the usbc connector carries the video signal of the integrated graphics card (sorry for my english)

Yes and thanks, I was think about that but now I have windows installed. it seems I can check both port (HDMI & USB-C) to find out are they tied to IGPU or DGPU, just don't know how exactly !! waiting for guide in it ....

Ok I find out that my HDMI port is tied to Intel UHD 630 not Nvidia.

As I describe my situation in post #1, where is my problem and what I must DO now ?

here is what I did :
I tried to patch the framebuffers with Hackintool 3.4.0 but no success. my GPU Device ID : 0x3E9B
PNP Device ID = PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_3E9B&SUBSYS_1A811043&REV_00\3&11583659&0&10
I don't know which platform ID I must use. my laptop has no other display port except 1 HDMI. there is a USB-C port too but I don't know is it counts or not.

default platform ID when open Hackintool = 0x3E9B0000 and the connectors looks like this :
Screen Shot 1399-04-02 at 10.42.57.png

with platform ID = 0x3E9B0009 connectors looks like this :
Screen Shot 1399-04-02 at 10.45.08.png

with platform ID = 0x3E9B0006 connectors looks like this :
Screen Shot 1399-04-02 at 10.46.07.png

with platform ID = 0x3E9B0007 connectors looks like this :
Screen Shot 1399-04-02 at 10.46.44.png

with platform ID = 0x3E9B0000 , 0x3E9B0009 the default laptop screen is identified and two other has valid Index so I changed Type to HDMI and generate patch with below setting, BUT NO SUCCESS.(in each senario when I plug in hdmi port no record turned red so I couldn't find out which buss ID is for hdmi) when I plug in HDMI port laptop screen turn black for a second and monitor try to get signal but ....

Patch setting I used for each of top scenario was this :

Screen Shot 1399-04-02 at 10.47.47.png

Lilu.kext 1.4.5 and WhateverGreen.kext 1.4.0 are in clover kext folder.
edited my config.plist and add config rehabMan said about Intel UHD 630 in GitHub. no success
Current config.plist attached.

Hi,
Probably your pc uses nvidia optimus to change graphics card.
Nvidia optimus is not supported.
Try to use usb-c hdmi adapter

Hi, and thanks for reply.
I will buy one and share result soon :)
should I buy a 4k usb-c hdmi adapter or normal ones ? 4k is supported ?
am I need to do anything for using usb-c hdmi adapter or it might just work ?

some questions about nvidia optimus :
is there a way to make sure that laptop uses nvidia optimus to change graphics card or not ? as it doesn't known Nvidia at all.
do you think with disabling Nvidia in clover nvidia optimus will be disabled too

Hi, i use the original apple usbc-hdmi / usb adapter.
I think any adapter is fine.
4k resolution does not depend on the adapter.
If the video signal comes out you can use the 4k screen.
If you have a friend who has an adapter, have it loaned and tested.
Optimus cannot be disabled.
Sorry for my English......
Let me know if it works!

Hi, unfortunately USB-C to HDMI didn't work for me with this : unitek convertor
now I going back to retest wish guide General Framebuffer Patching Guide

Biglibigli,

Please try 0x3E920000 and tell me that it works for you:)
