Enabling HD Audio on P55 UD3

Hello,
How can I enable HD Sound with the onboard Realtek 888 on my P55 UD3?
Can I use the audio header on my motherboard to get audio on my front panel after enabling HD Sound?

Install (overwrite) existing /Extra folder using: Multibeast>Gigabeast>GA-P55-UD3
(or whatever specific version of Giga MB you have).

Then if on 10.6.3, install the old 10.6.2AppleHDA:Multibeast>AdvancedOpts>kexts>Audio>AppleHDA10.6.2
Also check/tick SystemUtilities.

I believe that config does support some form of front panel audio, else see the posts in this section for latest "Beta" versions if those have function more like what you are looking for.
