how do i go about doing it?

im using GTX 760 card. can use the same method right?

*Update*
I've tried copied the file to desktop, added my card name to the txt file. and copied into the folder again.
but it didnt work! :(

thank!!! :)

Hi! Sorry for my english.

I have the same problem you had on After Effects CC 2015 with my Gtx 780.
Premiere and other programs recognize cuda except AE. All Adobe are updated.
I tried to make the raytracer file and put in 'contents' folder but I did not get results.

You said "took me some time to find the folder with the raytracer file".
Please, could you tell me where the raytracer file is? I can't find it.:cry:

Thanks !!

Update!

:):):D

Finally!!!
3 hours later, patience + 1 liter of coffee ....
I could find the raytracer file:

/Contents/ Resources/ raytracer_supported_cards.txt

Then I wrote my card "GeForce GTX 780" and voilà... Cuda enable on After Effects CC 2015

Thanks guys!!

Well, I tried running a AE Ray Tracing benchmark project got some errors and did some more research. Turns out it is a Maxwell issue. This explains a lot: http://www.studio1productions.com/blog/?p=346

I don't normally use AE so I hadn't tested it fully.

As explained on this post from Macvidcards, raytracer can be fixed on Adobe CC 2015.1 & CC 2015.2 by replacing optix libs from 3.8 version from Nvidia Developper zone :

http://www.macvidcards.com/blog/after-effects-hack-to-enable-maxwell-cards

To save you some download time and painfull survey from adobe, here are the two files needed.
replace to AE folder:
/Applications/Adobe After Effects CC 2015/Adobe After Effects CC 2015.app/Contents/Frameworks

Enjoy Maxwell enabled raytracing !

Hey friend, can you re-upload it please?
File on zippy share has expired.
Thanks!

Friends, please re-upload this piece of technology. I'm a video hobbyist and you know, AE2015 is fooling me saying that we don't have the optix library.

You have to register at nvidia as a developer to get the files. I don't know how it works with AE CC 2015. Here it works with AE CS6. I use the files from Optix SDK-3.9.1 with cuda 8.0.46. I tried also SDK-4.0.1 files without success.
