I've searched the forums and there are a dozen guides, but none of them for my system/processor/OS.

Can anyone point me to instructions for how to get power management working on my Indigo Sawtooth?

SO much of getting my first hackintosh running was way easier than I expected, but this last 10% is killing me. PM isn't the only problem I've got, sadly, but one topic at a time.

CPU Power management is processor specific. If you'd like to create your own PM SSDT see
Mavericks: Native CPU/IGPU Power Management (SSDT creation is relevant to macOS Sierra).
Quick Guide to Generate a SSDT for CPU Power Management ...
ammulder kindly created a bunch of processor specific SSDT's listed in his guide thread here [Guide] El Capitan on the Skylake H170N-WIFI | tonymacx86.com Be aware there are 2 SSDT's for the i5-6600 one of which is for the 'K'.

Thanks for the links and the warning about processor variation.

I'm running Sierra. Should I expect the Mavericks guide to be appropriate?

The guide is appropriate, the method was discovered when Mavericks was released with Mac's using Core i3-5-7 processors. Hence why it is Mavericks Desktop Support. It is still relevant to Skylake i3-5-7 processors.
