We want to advise our members on why you might see Email Invalid (Bounced) or not getting a confirmation email when registering.
There are four conditions why you may see Email Invalid (Bounced):
"Accounts must be created and maintained using a valid permanent email address."
So why is your email from us not getting delivered?
There are four conditions why you may see Email Invalid (Bounced):
- We tried to send you your account confirmation email.
- We tried to send you "A summary of what you missed recently" email.
- We tried to send you a notification that a thread you are following has been updated.
- You changed your password and we tried to send you the acknowledgement email.
"Accounts must be created and maintained using a valid permanent email address."
So why is your email from us not getting delivered?
- The email account does not exist.
- The email account is over quota.
- The email server is hosted on a Bulletproof Service Provider. See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bulletproof_hosting for a description.
- The email server is hosted on a service provider where they have had numerous hosts attacking our website. Because of that, we are blocking all of their address blocks to keep our site available. We cannot block or unblock specific address due to the amount of resources it would take to accomplish this.
- Provide a valid non-disposable or temporary email address from a reputable email provider.
- Move your email server to a reputable hosting provider.
- Clean up you email account so that any new email can be delivered.
- Contact your email provider to ask them why they are blocking our email.
