I am almost done with my "eHack." I chose to get rid of the optical drive and relocate the hdd, but you could definitely leave them in their true locations.

Moved build to completed mods:

You can probably fit your board in and use a pico or flex atx psu. Gut the emac, make a cardboard cutout to the size of your mobo and experiment with placement. Maybe vertically? The tough thing is going to be how to get the ports to the outside via a cutout or extensions as I ended up doing. The main tray of the eMac slants towards the front, making it tougher to stay level with certain placements of a mobo.
A new dvd will fit in the old space as will a new sata hdd. I chose not to put my 2.5 SSD in the old HDD bay because it is tougher to get to.
