Hi guys, I have a 8470p and purchased a genuine BCM94331CD and completely forgot about the whitelists in EliteBook bios. Just to be sure, there is no known solution to remove the whitelist, right?
Has anyone heard about a method to rebrand the BCM94331CD, instead?

Thanks!

There is no WiFi whitelist in the 8470p.

Read post #1 of the guide for supported WiFi cards: http://www.tonymacx86.com/hp-probook-yosemite/143675-guide-install-yosemite-hp-laptops-clover-uefi.html

I found upon trying to use a BCM94360CD and a BCM94360CS2 that the 8470p does indeed have a whitelist, as it complained about both of those.

I have a HP branded BCM943224HMS on the way to me now.

No whitelist on the 8470p for the WLAN slot.
You're probably installing the card in the WWAN slot.

Well how about that! I did not realize whitelists could be on a per-slot basis. I was testing them in the bigger slot because they just won't fit in the small one. Silly me thinking all miniPCI-E slots were the same.

Unfortunately none of the cards I have actually fit in the WLAN slot but they are in fact recognized if I carefully hold it in there whilst booting the machine.
