El Captain Drive Doesn't Show Up

Hi all,

I was finally able to get my USB created and got everything installed. I was able to boot into El Captain on my first try using the USB...After that it disappeared. (It doesn't even show up when I try to boot from the USB) I have read posts about what others have tried, but I don't think those options work on my motherboard...Any help would be appreciated! I did a clean install on another hard drive for now...I want to get it right before I install on my SSD which currently is Yosemite 10.10.3.

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-P55-UD3
CPU: 2.93 Ghz Intel Core 5
Graphics: Nvidia Geoforce GTX 760 2048 MB
Hard Drive: SSD 500 GB (+ 2 1 TB hard drives and 1 500 GB Harddrive)
Memory: 32 GB 1333 MHz DDR3

Did you run the post-install steps when you got in on the first boot? If so, how far did you get?

Can you boot from the hard drive now?

There are a lot of USB problems on the P55, so you should try the USB install drive on every USB port on the system (case, back of motherboard, etc.). There are a number of P55 notes in the big list of solutions.
