El capitan suggested to reset my keychain after there has been some issues with icloud. As naive I might be, I've done so and since then, I'm no longer able to login to my prior account.

The account is not even listed anymore. Because of that, I've decided to enable the root user account - with no luck. When I'm trying to login, it is just stuck with a spinning wheel.

Is there any possibility of backing up my data or even getting access back?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I'm running the latest version of the probook installer and clover.

Try a fresh install (you can use a second partition).

Thank you for your reply!

Before starting from scratch, is there any else I could try to regain access?

Use a second partition to create a fresh install.

1. Boot from usb
2. Shrink old partition
3.install osx on new partition
4. Copy all data you want to external hdd/new OS X install partition
5.Delete original osx partition
6.expand new partition to take up all the space you want
