El Capitan 10.11.5 - Suddenly lost iMessage

So I've been running El Capitan (10.11.5 currently) on my hack problem free for a while now, including iMessage. Suddenly today out of the blue, iMessage has stopped working. I'm getting the dreaded "error during activation" message. I'm using Clover. I haven't changed anything, the computer has been running for about a week straight perfectly fine. Then tonight iMessage literally just stopped working. Reboot didn't change anything. Still logged into iCloud, AppStore, Notes, Contacts, Photos etc., all is well there.

Any ideas?

run iMessage Debug and make sure that your values are staying the same between reboots. That is the first step to figuring out what is wrong.
