After updating to El Capitan basically all Valve games stopped working. Anything that runs on the Source engine. Half-Life and Portal both work, but Half-Life 2, Half-Life 2: Episode 1, Half-Life 2: Episode 2, Half-Life 2: Lost Coast, Portal 2, The Stanley Parable, and Left 4 Dead 2 do not start. They all give me an error message similar to "Failed to create OpenGL device! Please see the following for more info.
http://support.steampowered.com/cgi-bin/steampowered.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=772" But that link doesn't give me any information that pertains to OS X. I have looked everywhere but nothing I try seems to help.
I have tracked the problem down to GTX 970, when messing with Nvidia Injection the 970 failed to start on my 4k, but the games worked on the 740. The 970 doesn't work with injection on, I am at a total loss as to what to do.
I am running an i7 4.3Ghz 64Gb DDR4 memory, with a GTX 970 and GT 740. Thank you for your help.
