i7850, UHD630, 8GB RAM, 128GBSSD Sata (Samsung), DW1820A;

And the only thing I changed is serial. I'm surprised I didn't have to do anything more.

Some notes from my side:
I kept the stock 128GBNvMe (kingfast) Windows 10 installation for dual boot.
I also switched to DW1820 for wifi. This was from my XPS13. I'm glad I kept this around - looks like now supported out of the box. I added the Brcm kexts for bluetooth- I'm not sure if this was necessary.
USB installer only worked at the rear-bottom port. SanDisk Ultra fit USB3.1.
Booting seems slower with Apfs.

Update: display port doesn't work

Display port doesnt work? That is interesting, because im connected on displayport with a minidisplayport - displayport cable and also hdmi... Are you using a converter a cable for displayport?

My adapter works when using windows. I think I bought this at apple store (this was for my old macbook pro). And interestingly the display port worked when I didn't have igpu acceleration.
I'll do some testing over the weekend

Still no luck. My adapter connects to a vga though. I probably need to use hdmi.

Try a miniDP-DP cable instead of the adapter
