EFIClone - automatic backup of the EFI partition

What problems did the 970 EVO give you? Did it function as a non-system drive?

I had a Samsung SM951 die on me. It would appear to the the system, but whenever I tried to write anything to it or initialize it with Disk Utility, I would get errors. Eventually, the system just stopped seeing the SSD at all.
The Plus or the original 970 EVO?

Is that similar in function to a Unibeast USB?
In that you can boot from it when you can't boot from your system drive. You use it to clone the drive when you're not able to boot to the desktop to run the ATI app. Good for data recovery purposes.

Not 970 EVO or 970 EVO Plus. An SM951. Different model.
When I did the Clover update, the first sign that something was wrong was that the screen Resolution was out of whack and there were multiple partitions listed that would normally not be in the CBM, then it the drive wouldn’t boot, simply a boot loop.

Not sure why there would be multiple partitions showing... Have you tried using the SSD as a non-system drive?

ATI worked! The EFI partition is strange looking with an EFI folder inside of the EFI partition, it looks like an exact copy

The EFI folder should be in the root directory of the EFI partition. I think it's safe to delete the APPLE, BOOT, and CLOVER folders above the highlighted EFI folder. The install log can also be deleted.

Thank you! Will try that when I get back to the machine. Do you know why CCC has been a problem?

Yes, when choosing the system drive (960 EVO) UEFI in BIOS, then choosing the 970 drive in CBM it functioned properly. All moot now that ATI cloned the 960 onto the 970.

Does not work for me.. for some reason it copies my source root to the EFI partition.

the log is 260mb long, so i can't post it in here..
Here's a small portion of it.. Also only one EFI drive seems to mount.

I run a full clone on an empty (freshly formatted) drive, with the safetynet (ccc setting) thing turned off.
