EFIClone - automatic backup of the EFI partition

Mmh i cant backup my Catalina Installation with Acronis anyone ever had success?
I've used it from a bootable rescue USB and it worked. What version of Acronis do you have and how are you using it to clone your Catalina drive ?

The new build of 2020 that support 10.15 now :(.
I read the usb dont work on Hackintosh.

The key consideration is to make a Windows based Acronis rescue USB not a Mac version. Since you must boot the USB on your PC hardware that is what will work. The Mac rescue USB will not boot on a Hackintosh. Only a "real" Mac.

How to make a "Windows based" Acronis rescue USB
The option you have is to download the Acronis for Windows ISO and create a rescue USB with Acronis 2020 on it. That is what makes cloning your hackintosh drive possible. Since our hacks run on PC hardware it's very easy to boot that USB, open up Acronis and Clone the macOS system drive installed to your PC hardware.

0. You will need to be using Windows to make the rescue USB.
1. Register your serial number/product key on the Acronis site.
2. Download the Windows ISO.
3. Use Rufus to burn the ISO to a USB and make it bootable on your hackintosh.

Here's how the page looks to download the Windows ISO version of Acronis. Use this with Rufus to make a rescue USB.

Try using the Cloning function. I've used a version of Acronis as old as 2017 and it works to clone APFS drives.
If even that doesn't work, try the Acronis forums to get help. They also have a ****** you can visit for help.

Hoping someone here can assist. I have EFIClone installed, but could never get it working. Tried Acronis 2019 and everything was perfect until a couple months back. Acronis clone operation started failing. I upgraded to Acronis 2020 and no improvement. Acronis have been unable to solve the issue. The disk clone fails when it's reformatting the target disk, and this is the error in the log file - there is a 'Directory Corrupted' message in the third block. Does anyone have and ideas?

'Copying MBR'.

Why not just format the destination disk and partition it GUID/GPT before you even attempt the clone ?

That's what I do - I format it and Mac OS Extended (Journaled)/GUID Partition Map, but the first step of cloning in Acronis automatically reformats the disk.
- formatting seems to go ok
- then it says 'Coping MBR'
- and then it switches to 'Synchronising operating system' and throws out an error message 'The disk you inserted was not readable' and the above error log...

Is anyone else having this issue with Acronis? Is something corrupt on my disk? The machine is booting and running perfectly.

Possibly you've not completely removed the MBR on the disk you are cloning. Not sure.

Tried it with multiple different disks - it's not a destination disk issue, I don't think. Acronis clone was working 100% up to a couple months ago, so it's a bit strange. Are others here having it work ok?
