Hi,

I found that this piece of hardware (Linksys Wireless-G USB Network Adapter with Speedbooster Version 2 - WUSB54GS v2) uses Broadcom chips and thus I should be able to use Broadcom wireless kexts to use this device, right?

Unfortunately, when I install the kexts Yosemite continues to recognize the device as a USB device but not as a networking device. I think it has to do with editing the installed kext, but I don't know the first thing about editing kexts like this. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

*BUMP, UPDATE*

I got it to recognize my Wireless G as a network interface (I don't really know how, but it happened), but I am unable to use the device to actually connect to the internet. It says "Connected" when I configured the IP address, net mask and gateway manually, but if I don't have Ethernet plugged in, I cannot access the internet.

Anyone have any idea what the issue could be? Has something similar happened with other USB WiFi adapters?
