So, can I just follow the guide to include just the following steps since I already have a working Clover EFI install?

That should work. Good Luck!

Thanks for all your help!

Hello,
Unfortunately the patch address https://raw.github.com/toleda/audio_hdmi_8series/master
is no longer valid.
There is now:
https://raw.githubusercontent.com/t...-Clean_Compile/has0-8series-Clean_Compile.txt

But MaciASL will not accept this as a valid patch address in the preferences.
Hello Rudolf,

The original link https://raw.github.com/toleda/audio_hdmi_8series/master still does work with MaciASL -- it just doesn't work with a browser. In fact there are two different links, the one to show a patch in text form on a browser is the one you cited ending in .txt, and the one where MaciASL can look up a list of patches is the one in the original instructions. Just don't try to click on it, it is meant to be copied and pasted into the MaciASL preferences, not clicked on.
If your MaciASL wasn't able to load the patches from there, maybe it was a temporary network failure ...

Hallo joncas,
Thank you for your hint.
Now I get the toleda patches in the patch list.

The next difficulty will be to get an error free compilation.

Regards, Rudolf

Hallo joncas,
Now I get the toleda patches in the patch list.
The next difficulty will be to get an error free compilation.
If you start with an unmodified DSDT and then open "patch", click once on Clean compile 8-series, then wait a few seconds for the patch file to load, then click on "Apply" in the lower right corner when the button become enabled, then wait a few seconds again till the lower right window becomes empty, and click on "Close" then it should compile without errors (warnings are ok)

Hello joncas,

Thank you for the help.

The situation is as follows:
Mainboard: GA-Z87M-D3H, BIOS F11
Codec: ALC 892
Mac OS: Yosemite

Command: ioreg -rxn IOHDACodecDevice does NOT show the codec.
On my older mainboard GA-H55-UD2H the codec ALC889 was shown, and audio works with Yosemite.

DSDT original, compile: 0 errors, 0 warnings
DSDT Patch: toleda AMI-Clean_Compile-8series, compile: 6 errors, 1 warning
DSDT Patch: toleda AMI-add_dsdt/PCI0/P0P2 (w/ssdt/PEG0)
File: has2-dsdt-ami-8_series-PEG0_add_dsdt-p0p2_v1.1
Web: https://github.com/toleda/audio_hdmi_8series
complile: 5 errors, see the attached file

So, I am stuck and do not know how to proceed.

Best regards, Rudolf
