Easiest post 2013 laptop under $500 to Hackintosh w/ El Capitan - Suggestions?
Hello community!
I wasn't sure if I should post this here, but this seemed like the most logical place.
My Acer Aspire v5-572 just died recently. A screw came lose in the case while it was on and appeared to have shorted out everything. Sucks.
I'm looking for a new budget laptop to turn into a hackintosh! I wondered if anyone had any suggestions. The Acer was a pretty easy project!
If anyone could be so kind, here is my criteria:
- Under $500. Under 400 is even better
- i5 or i7... 2.0ghz or higher
- 4 mb of ram or higher
- 500 Gb drive or higher... The option for a replacement and/or additional drive would be great!
- Size of machine does not matter
- HDMI port
- At least 1 USB 3 port
- El Capitan (latest)
Anything better than my Acer would be great! It wasn't hard to convert the Acer and I'm hoping to find another model that is as simple.
Thanks for taking the time. Any help is highly appreciated.
