Are you trying to use the motherboard's onboard BT? Unfortunately, you have to buy a usb dongle, as mentioned in the Customac Buyers' Guide. If you're already using one of the recommended BT dongles, people will probably need more information than that if they're going to able to help you.

I'm currently having issues with sleep/shutdown/restart, and it's due to my dual monitor setup. When both monitors (using both HDMI ports on the Z97n) are plugged in, when the computer goes to sleep, and when trying to shutdown or restart, it turns off the displays but continues to run in an unresponsive state. I have to do a hard reset by holding down the power button to get it to turn off, then I can start up the computer again just fine. This problem doesn't happen when I only have one monitor plugged in. Stork, do you have any experience with the dual monitor setup? Has it been working for you? I'm willing to do a clean install, but I'd like to get some info first to make sure this isn't something that can be fixed through Multibeast.

Hey guys, I need some help with my build. This is my first hackintosh but I'm not a stranger to customizing, having chipped Xboxes, hacked DVRs, rooted android phones, etc.

My build is running a GA-H97N-WIFI board, Intel Core i3-4360 CPU, Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB RAM, Samsung 840 EVO 120GB SSD, and Corsair CX 500 Watt PSU.

I have made my USB thumb drive with Mavericks and Unibeast from a MacBook Pro and had zero issues. Assembled my machine and booted from the thumb drive with Chimera with success. Installed Mavericks to the point of the first auto reboot (first half of install). My problem comes when it reboots and I select Mavericks to boot as the how to states. I'm stuck at the Apple logo with the spinning wheel...
Did you reboot using the UniBeast USB thumb drive, too?

I tested the WiFi/BT card's BT capability, but wasn't getting any joy. So, I removed the card (with the intention of finding a card that worked later on), and used the IOGear BT 4.0 USB dongle in the tonymacx86 Buyer's Guide, Accessories section. It works OK. You still needed a wired keyboard (or a Logitech K750 Mac keyboard) to get into the BIOS, however.

Hi,

I'm facing weird issue with sleep mode and H97M-DH3, not sure if it's proper thread, sorry if I missed the thread.

I can get sleep to work, and proper wake up, BUT once fans stop, I hear fans at full speed (like in a power cycle) and get spinning again. After two minutes, another fan stop and another "power cycle", and so on. If I press any key, machine wakes up properly.

I can't assure "Haswell ready" PSU, but I have zero issues with sleep mode in Windows, so I'm not sure if purchase 100% sure "Haswell ready" PSU, or get another shot with DSDT inject...

My config:
Gigabyte H97M-DH3 F4 BIOS
i7 4770K
10.9.3
Tried with Chameleon and Clover UEFI with no luck.

Any thoughts?

Thank you.

Yep, this is the wrong thread. There are several Guides and User Builds that deal with the H97M-DH3 configurations. Please post your problem there. TIA.

Hi stork,
thanks to this awsum guide :D

currently i have mavericks 10.9.5 up n running on my H97N WIFI. my system :

I5 4590
GA H97N WIFI
Patriot 8Gb (2x4 Gb) 2133MHz
Graphic Intel HD 4600
Fujitsu 250GB 2.5" Drive
PSU Seasonic G550
Case Jonsbo v3+

now my system seems to work fine, display, audio, LAN(only atheros, LAN, sleep, hibernate, speedstep etc. my only problem is i always get snow noise (or isit white noise?) at boot before hit desktop. it goes aprox 5-8 seconds, is anyone geeting this same issue? any suggestions appreciated... TIA

EDIT :
I found the problem is my monitor. i usually have my LG 32" 450LD TV connected as my monitor using DVI-HDMI cable, tried as stork suggested to use hdmi to no luck. later when i brought my system to office and connect it to DELL 1780FP... voila!! my system boot sraight to desktop without any hiccup :D

i think i need a monitor for my system and leave my TV used as TV alone, heheh :p

I'm glad the guide worked for you.

WRT the audio...check to see that your audio cable is is a) securely plugged into the motherboard and speakers, b) the cable is not running by any electrical device on it's way to the speaker, and c) the cable is of good quality such that it adequately protected from interference. It could also be a component in the case that is generating the electrical noise. BTW, what audio driver are you using?

Ah, sorry if my post earlier lead to the wrong assumption... my bad...

i dont really know what my problem is called, snow noise or white noise (or else). Basically when my system boot it didn't hit the desktop straight, hence i got my screen fuzzy (i call this snow noise / white noise) for a while, it didn't make any sound though... i suspect it is a framebuffer problem.

Audio --> alc892 n 9 series fix in MB. Works like a charm
Display --> intel 9series fix in MB sysdef 14,2
