Hi, I have a i3- 3225 cpu (4000 graphics) and a GA-H77N mobo.

I am looking to buy a 27" monitor which has 2 hdmi ports.

will my hackintosh running (ML 10.8.3) work using a dvi to hdmi cable. I currently use DVI and it works fine.

Thanks

Yes it will work without any problems. Remember that a DVI-D signal does not transfer any audio, so as that monitor has speakers you may need to use a cable to get the audio working. You could also use HDMI - HDMI cable, the Amazon basics range will work fine.

I have read online that people had problems using such cables with their graphics card. Was it probably due to their graphicc card than anything else?

Thanks

Some of the older graphics cards outputted DVI-I which is an analogue signal - that would not work without using an active adaptor to change the signal to a digital one.

I have tried these and they work fine (from a DVI-D output on a GPU)
