you saved me!
I also have 4790k and have put this config.plist code, set the igpu to enable and voila, everything works!! THANKS
I have left the ig-platform-id under graphics section empty, is that ok?

+could you suggest if I do the same for my wife's computer or there should be other code for her computer (8500k / rx580)

How am I supposed to know if my internal GPU is working? I also have 4790k with Nvidia gtx 1080. On System information/graphic/displays, shows only gtx 1080. Thanks!

Your iGPU seems to be working according to the Hackintools info page.
VDA decoding is also enabled it seems. Only issue is it is not showing up in System Profile as 2nd graphics display. Which means it's not working. Likely the issue is to do with your AAPL,ig-platform-id setting.

I see it is set to headless mode (0B001204) which means only the Nvidia dGPU is getting video output (but computation still works with internal GPU). If you want the iGPU to also output video you must set it to 01001204 and do the same for the device-id as 12040001.

What those images show is that you are using an Empty framebuffer for the HD4600 IGPU. Which is the correct setting for your Haswell Refresh system when a dGPU is used to drive the display(s).

There is nothing wrong with your IGPU setup, the HD4600 isn’t supposed to be visible in the System Information > Graphic/Display report when you use an Empt/Headless framebuffer.

You don’t need to change the framebuffer as the one you are using is the correct one for your system. It is the framebuffer I use with my Haswell Refresh systems.
