I also have a different HD with win 7 on it that was disconnected during the mac installation.
now I want both of the system to be enable to boot, how can I do that?

Hello,

I just finish to install mac os ML on my system (clean HD), in order to do so I needed to change the sata configuration to AHCI mode.
I also have a different HD with win 7 on it that was disconnected during the mac installation.
now I want both of the system to be enable to boot, how can I do that?

Thanks,
Ran
You do that by:
1. Connect the HDD for Windows
2. Boot to BIOS and change back to IDE.
3. Enable AHCI in Windows.
4. Boot to BIOS and change back to AHCI
5. While booted to BIOS make the OS X HDD first in HDD boot order.
6. At the Chimera screen hit any key to be able to select Windows "System Reserved" icon to boot Windows or install Instant Menu to have Chimera stop and allow you to select OS to boot.

Thank you.

I enable the ahci on windows registry then I used easyBCD to create a dual boot from windows.

Works great
