Dual GPU: GTX 670 plus 770

So I built my Hackintosh a while a go using one GTX 670 card and would like to upgrade the system and make it dual GPU (need more VRAM and power for video color grading and editing). It doesn't make sense to buy the old and more expensive 670 anymore, therefore I would like to add a 770.

Will these cards work together or do dual GPU systems require both cards to be the same?

I believe the main requisite for setting up 2 cards through SLI, is that they have identical GPU and an identical amount of ram. So, basically you can't SLI a 670 with a 770.

Try Techpowerup they have some info how to sli two different cards but sli will only work in windows not mac hope this helps

I'm aware that SLI doesn't work under OSX and my purpose is not to use SLI, rather the joint computational power of two graphic cards for applications that support it (DaVinci Resolve).
