Dual boot Windows and Mac OS on a PC

Hey guys, yes, I seen the tutorials but the problem is I do not have Mac OS installed already. In my case and this is solely a Windows 7 PC. How would I dual boot on a PC? I know AHCI has to be turned on in the BIOS. Which one? I have AHCI and I also have IDE->AHCI and which one of the two should it be? Also, based on the CPU and motherboard I have and which of the Mac OS X would be best?

If AMD is not good for this. If someone explain how to do it and I could do it on my laptop because my laptop is Windows 7 as well but the CPU is Intel.
