Dual boot windows 8 and os x mavericks?

    Hello i am new to dual booting and have a two questions
    1. can i install os x on a gpt partition i made in windows?
    2. If i can install mac on a gpt partition how do i install it so i can boot to either mac or windows in windows bootmgr or do i need a seperate boot manager like EasyBCD

    Thanks! any help is appreciated

    #1. You can do that, but after you're done installing Chimera/Chameleon bootloader, you will not be able to boot Windows, except via BIOS (Chimera/Chameleon cannot boot a UEFI install of Windows)

    #2. For UEFI Windows install, you must use Clover for multi-boot.

    The guide above is for installing Windows as legacy to a GPT/MBR hybrid. You do all partitioning in OS X Disk Utility.
