Hi, I am a total noob to this stuff and am considering putting Mac OS (preferably Lion) on my Toshiba Satellite L305-S5955, possibly/probably dual booting. I have read about some issues in compatibility with display (QE/CI?), USB, and Wi-Fi. These were posted on a forum about 3 years ago so obviously outdated :p Anyway, here are my specs, have other weird ones I have no clue about if needed:

Model: Toshiba Satellite L305-S5955
OS: Linux Ubuntu Oneric Ocelot 11.10 (x32), have Windows XP installation disk if needed
Processor: Intel Celeron CPU 900 @ 2.20 GHz
Graphics: Mobile Intel 4 Series Express Chipset Family (unknown by Ubuntu but was in my profile, haha)
Display: 1280x800 pixels
Memory: I'm pretty sure I have 2 GB of RAM

Hope this helps and thanks in advance!

Just had a look at your graphics card. Never heard of a Mac OS X driver for it. This is the key to hackintosh !
Mac OS X without QE/CI is useless for me, no video, no graphical effects (no bouncing icons, no ripple effect, no transparency in menu bar,etc...) and everything is slow.
If you still want to try, i have Ubuntu 12.04, Snow Leopard and Lion in separate partitions.
I use Grub2 as bootloader at the root of the hard drive and chimera as Mac OS X bootloader (chainloaded to Grub2 via custom file in Ubuntu).
Windows and Mac don't play nicely together. Mac OS X requires GPT partition table whereas Windows requires MBR. Ubuntu works on both ! You will find guides to install Windows 7 and Mac OS X Lion here at tonymacx86.
One last thought : 64bits Lion requires some power, 2Go of RAM seems a bit short !

Yeah, I had a feeling that something wouldn't be right :) Oh well. I am on Ubuntu 11.10 and am just getting a Mac OS theme to make up for it. It doesn't look half bad, actually. Well, thanks for the info!
