I'm working on building an over the top dual boot on an ASUS Z370 MAXIMUS X Code MB. It has 2 M.2 ports for NVMe SSDs, but I hate that the second port jets off the board rather than lay flat on it. Will I have issues with partitioning one drive with Mojave and Windows 10 on separate partitions? Advantage of 1 drive is a cleaner board and less hardware. Advantage of 2 drives is no potential of OS partition confusion (if possible). Suggestions?

Personally, I would go with 2 drives. So what if the second one stands proud on the board instead of against it - is it in the way of anything else? Is the socket and holding mechanism so flimsy that the drive may fall out if the case is bumped? If the drive is held securely it should not matter.
