The last 6 months I worked with Dual RX 580's in my system, everything worked perfect. Optimal performance in FCPX: two cards were used including quicksync. Then I decided to upgrade to a Vega 64. Everything was perfect, slightly better performance than the Dual RX 580. I wanted more performance, so decided to upgrade to a Dual Vega 56. Works, but no quicksync. No quicksync means no H264 export in FCPX. When I remove one Vega 56, the system is 100% perfect: FCPX runs smooth, including quicksync. Today I swapped in the old Dual RX 580. Breaks quicksync as well, even while it always worked perfectly. One RX 580 is perfect. Problem is related to Dual graphic card. Single is no problem. Maybe it has something to do with upgrade to new lilu and whatevergreen? Should recognize everything right by itself? Any suggestions? I am out of options after days of searching. I will add my used kexts and config.plist.

Hope someone wants to take a look... Thanks!!!

Did you find a solution to this? Very interested in 2 x RX580 as had great performance in the past with 2 x r9 270X in FCPX. Thanks

Yes problem solved! 9900K + Dual Vega56 :headbang:

It seemed that Mojave has a different way of handling framebuffers. You need to inject in manually through Clover:

1. Download FB-patcher, you will find the link in this thread:
https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/release-intel-fb-patcher-v1-6-8.254559/

2. Generate patch in FB-Patcher
• Framebuffer Menu -> macOS 10.14.X
• PlatformID = 0x3E920003
• Patch -> General -> Devices
• Patch -> Advanced -> Device Id: 0x3E9B
• Generate Patch

3. Copy Device Properties to config.plist (you can check clover device if it's done correctly in the devices -> properties).

The dual graphic cards worked out of the box, but only quicksync didn't. Above fixes everything.

Hello, I want to Build Dual RX580 Hackintosh, and I was confused that if I need to configurate something to adjust dual Graphics card? Or dual gpu can work directly with whatevergreen kext and so on.

Dual graphics works out of the box with whatevergreen. Final Cut will love it!
